As a matter of commitment to the motherland Bharatavarsham and Mother Language Samskritam, the Lokabhasha Samskritam was initiated on 27.12.1979 and Lokabhasha Prachara Samitih was founded in Puri, Odisha on 13.03.1983 and got registered on 02.02.1984 under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860. The Samitih, since the day of initiation, has been doing yeoman service in the field of Promotion and Propagation of Sanskrit in arousing the sense of humanity , morality & spirituality and also in strengthening National integration and global fraternity in all levels through various activities based  on Teaching, Training, Research, Publications, Outreaching and Organization. Now the Samitih getting inspiration from the mantra of  Shukla Yajurveda – यत्र विश्वं भवत्येकनीडम् (Where the World is a single village), is spearheading as the premier organization of the country for a massive movement in favour of Sanskrit as a Universal Language and global knowledge system.

Vision

लोकभाषा हि संस्कृतम्

Sanskrit is the symbol of Bharat’s hoary cultural heritage, intellectual treasure, national unity and identity and is the spiritual force for universal fraternity. It represents our  glorious wisdom , philosophy, science, and literature and upholds the pride and prestige of Bharat since the time immemorial. Foreign Countries also give great importance to the study and research in Sanskrit due to its rich literature, finest grammar and invaluable treasure of knowledge and wisdom.

Hence, Sanskrit deserves to be nourished and flourished right from the roots to the foliage of the tree of the Universe . Our vision clearly  envisages at making this Universal divine language as the Language of the World.
